We just returned from our month long summer holiday, I know, we are very lucky to live in a country where that is the norm! Two weeks in, the kids broke my phone and I was without cell or internet until we returned home. It was nice to be unconnected and spend some real quality time with everyone – a real vacation. So it’s been pretty quiet over here on the blog, but here are some pics of our adventures with friends, soaking up the sun and running wild on the beach. Hope you all had a wonderful summer!
We are on the road in the south of France for a few weeks, here are a few pics of our adventures so far…hope everyone is having a beautiful summer so far!
For all those fellow Americans out there, Happy 4th!
Here in France it’s just another day, except that it’s also officially the first day of summer for all the little ones. And of course, let’s not forget the big game, “Allez les Bleus!”
I will be dreaming of picnics and BBQs all day…have a great one!
This past weekend we went to the We Love Green music festival in the Parc de Bagatelle. Besides a very poorly organized kids area and an hour long wait for the restroom, the kids had a blast. The weather was beautiful and we ate, danced and made new friends, and even got to hear Cat Power.
Ikat is back. Here’s a summer outfit idea for mother and daughter, perfect for summer in the city or a day at the beach. Now bring on the heat!

This weekend was Mother’s day in France, and we had a nice and relaxing weekend. It rained all day Saturday and we stayed inside in our pyj’s for most of the day. Stella decided to set up a doctor’s waiting room in the hallway, I guess all those recent visits to the dentist have had an effect on her… Then yesterday we went to every park in the neighborhood to make up for our lazy day before and had a nice long lunch with family.
I am so thankful and proud to be the maman to these two little munchkins, they amaze me and humble me everyday, but man do I need a good night’s sleep!
I was just in Monoprix this morning, and “just happened” to wander into the baby section, I so wish I had a little baby girl again!! The Bout’chou collection for this summer is just perfect. Here are a few things from the collection, but there were so many beautiful pieces in store.
I am dreaming of summer and sun, and a new wardrobe. Here are a few things on my wish list for this summer.
My summer love basics : the perfect earrings / overalls or a jumpsuit / a large woven hat / a red skirt / all white, sans chaussettes:) / white Birkenstocks, I know, we had them in high school…but there back / a cool print t-shirt / a small woven bag / perfect brown leather sandales / lots of bracelets
Well this past weekend was baby’s first visit to a farm (la Ferme de Gally), and it was quite the adventure…someone fell and skinned her knees and had to be carried the entire day, so someone got a special flower crown to make her feel better, while another little someone was very excited about the animals but was even more excited about holding his plastic bottle all day (impossible to pry out of his hands!)
Don’t forget to celebrate the mom you love this week!
Here’s a pretty selection to say “Je t’Aime” from Etsy … 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
